| But that's one face of the Japanese. The other I was able and happy, to see during our home stay in Fukuyama. The hospitality and politeness of my host family, the Hadano family, seemed to be infinite. I was sometimes embarrased by the attention they payed to me as well as the warm feeling they accepted me with. That to a foreigner may seem like a paradox - a country that lives with the tecnology of the future and people that treat you with the warmth and respect of the past. I wouldn't exaggerate if I say I really felt like home regardless the difficulties in communication. |
